Hi, so on 28th May I had a chemical miscarriage the lines faded on my tests. Two weeks later I tested for ovulation and it was positive. on 23rd June I found out I was pregnant and the lines have been getting darker and darker. I’ve taken digital tests and they’ve gone from 1-2, 2-3 now it’s saying 3+. Is this a new pregnancy could I conceive 2 weeks after chemical miscarriage? I rang for an early scan but they said I could be turned away as I’m still ā€œearlyā€ but the midwife told me to take a test in 2 weeks to make sure it’s not from the old miscarriage, but it wouldn’t be getter darker if it wasn’t new… any advice welcomešŸ˜“

I'd absolutely say this was a new pregnancy. Congratulations! The progression sounds good. I was offered back to back frozen embryo transfers should I have an unsuccessful round/chemical so absolutely possible. X

Firstly I’m really sorry for your loss, sending strength your way for this pregnancy! I would definitely say a new pregnancy, I’ve heard a lot of people getting pregnancy quickly after any kind of loss, your chemical would have ended the cycle which in turn brings a new egg to be fertilised. You are right you are getting progress in your tests! I’m sure you are doing non digital tests too (if you are anything like me I did close to a thousand šŸ˜…) if there is line progression here too I would take this as really positive and try to stay busy for the next 2 weeks until you can have a scan 🄰 good luck x

Yes will be a new pregnancy. A chemical would count like a period so ovulation 2 weeks after would be totally normal. If the positives were from the chemical they wouldn’t be getting stronger. I had a chemical at nearly 6 weeks then ovulated 2 weeks later and conceived again which was another loss as nearly 6 weeks but then conceived again (3rd cycle in a row) and am now nearly 33 weeks pregnant. Each time it was new pregnancies.

congratulations šŸ’•

-I’m positive thinking with this one! The lines have been strong, I have symptoms. The first 2 MC were 3-4 weeks I’m almost 6 weeks with this one so I’ve got further with this one. Thank you for all your advice🩷
