Carpal Tunnel

Currently 17+1 and experiencing what I believe to be carpal tunnel. For the past 10 days I've been waking up every hour or two in the night with pins and needles in both hands and the last 4 days I've been waking up with an aching right hand, to the point where I struggle to lift the kettle in the morning. Today the pain has lingered in both hands and they just feel a bit... 'off'.

Bit concerned that it's going to get worse over time and birth isn't until December! Got my 16 week midwife appointment tomorrow so planning to raise it there but wondered if anyone had any tips on managing this? I've read that sleeping in wrist splints can help, and maybe physio/acupuncture?

Thanks x

@PennyPenny1 ive just been to the doctors about this although im not pregnant atm. He said i could buy a wrist splint on amazon only about £8. I am being referred for tests at hosp where they send elect shock through ur nerves so not sure they'd do that whilst pregnant. There wasnt really anythjng else u can do.

Hiya, I'm suffering also. 24 weeks now. Mine is mainly my right side. I have a splint I use at night. Does help a bit.

My index finger on my right is now numb and turning the steering wheel is sometimes a bit sore.

Midwife didn't seem concerned when I rang them (community team), they said if I'm really suffering then to go to the doctors. Although I will speak to my actual midwife at my next appointment.

Hope you find something that helps you.
