Hey Everyone,

I'm rather new to all this, but I'm TTC and currently 5days DPO and wondered if anyone else felt similar symptoms to me and whether they saw a BFN or BFP? The 'symptoms' are driving me nuts - so would be nice to hear from real people!

General feelings: very tired, low energy and very emotional. Have a bad cold too.

3DPO - tugging / pulling left side / slippery discharge
4DPO - light cramping across lower abdomen / creamy white discharge
5DPO (PRESENT) - increased but still mellow cramping across lower abdomen, indiscriminate to sides, sharp dip in temp

I'm so nervous and so far from being able to test, would be great to hear other stories or experiences.

Thanks!

Nat

I was TTC for years. Living my life in two-week blocks was emotionally exhausting.

I convinced myself I had all the symptoms, every month. Symptoms I obviously had before TTC, but wouldn’t have noticed. The cramps, the breast pain, the headaches, the increased appetite, the random nausea…

When I eventually did get pregnant I had no symptoms until about week six of pregnancy.

My advice would be to just take a pregnancy test the day after your period is due. Looking for symptoms and taking tests anytime before that can result in more torture.

Best of luck 💐

I agree. I drove myself crazy and the reality of it is when you're not trying the chances are most of those symptoms are there but you don't pay any attention to them. I don't want to be a Debbie downer at all but all of those symptoms can be your normal hormone changes during your cycle and I ended up becoming obsessed with every little niggle it almost took the fun out of it.

It would be so early on if the egg had fertilised you wouldn't get any proper symptoms yet anyway. My advise would be to just take each day as it comes OP and try not to get overly invested in the tiny symptoms as if it doesn't work you end up even more gutted as you've convinced yourself (I did anyway) that this was my month due to very normal cycle symptoms.

All the best OP I hope this is the month for you!

allgoodthings84 · 06/07/2023 17:52

None of those would be pregnancy symptoms it’s just too early. Doesn’t mean you’re not going to be pregnant this cycle but until implantation happens you’re not pregnant. Implantation occurs 6-12dpo and most commonly 8-10dpo. I got pregnant on my 5th cycle ttc my second but thought I had symptoms every ccle for the first 3 cycles but then I realised I probably always had those daytime but paid no attention. I then ignored all symptoms and I can’t remember feeling much different the cycle I did get pregnant and the following 2 cycles that I also got pregnant.

I know how hard it is but I would really try and not symptom spot or it will really drag if it doesn’t happen right away.

allgoodthings84 · 06/07/2023 17:53

Symptoms not daytime 😂

tedderr · 06/07/2023 21:18

Too early OP to be having symptoms. As PP said it doesn't mean you won't be pregnant this cycle but you may not have even had implantation yet!

Those are perfectly normal symptoms of a cycle. When TTC you become hyper aware of every niggle that is probably there each month.

Just try and wait until your period is due and test then.

tedderr · 06/07/2023 21:20

It's way too early to be giving you cold symptoms etc. don't let the symptoms drive you nuts, if you are pregnant the tiny fertilised egg is smaller than a grain of sugar so probably won't be causing you any pains etc!

I only say this as you can become obsessed with it all. Good luck OP! Hope it happens for you soon.

Thank you all for the honest and up front feedback, really appreciate it and Learning now to ignore ‘symptoms’ and just roll with it all.

@NattyL I felt just like AF was on way before all of the pregnancies…

You can’t count yourself out yet either.

NattyL · 07/07/2023 12:23

@allgoodthings84 thank you for sharing this, it’s always worth keeping hope 🙂

Hey Ladies,

9DPO now and cramping has intensified so losing hope, most of which seems to be weighted to the left side oddly.

did a FRER test yesterday with MU which was neg in allotted window, but then a faint pink line appeared later, I imagine just an unlucky Evap.

Today a strong BFN with MU.

losing the little hope I had and feels like AF is just around the corner!
