Spotting after bowl movement

Sorry for TMI
i went to the bathroom early and after my bowl movement I had some bright red spotting but not from my bum.
I’ve googled it and apparently it can be a thing if you strain in pregnancy but I’ve never had it before so now I’m really worried.

Are you completely sure it isn't from your bum eg haemorrhoids? (I have made that mistake so so many times.) If it's definitely from the vaginal end, I'd call the midwife just to be sure, just because it's bright red. A weak pinky colour would worry me less (that's just my instinct though, I'm not a medical person)

Yeah it’s definitely from the front. It’s stopped now but I called EPU and they have booked me for a scan on Fri. Thorough apparently straining can irritate the cervix.

yes., it was the cause of my spotting a couple of times early on

I just had a scan and all was fine, said it could have been due to the constipation as there was no other reason seen for it
