Hey, looking for some advice. My wife and I are currently 6 weeks pregnant through ivf. We had a scan at 5w+1 which showed a gestational sac measuring 4.1mm, no yolk sac at that scan but sonographer said that wasn’t abnormal. A few days later, my wife had some brown tinged spotting that lasted 24 hours then hasn’t had any since. She also had some weird stomach pressure and she felt a little back pain too. We’ve had 3 miscarriages in the past and 2 of them were between 5-6 weeks so we’re really worried. We have another scan tomorrow (will be 6+1) so hoping to see a yolk sac and maybe foetal pole then! Her HCG 2 days ago was 5798 and her progesterone was 31. We don’t know if HCG is rising or falling as that’s first measure they’ve taken. Generally, how do you think things are looking? Do you have any similar experiences and can we be quietly optimistic or preparing for the worst? We’re climbing the walls and really anxious about tomorrow’s scan. Such a difficult wait.
