Breast pump fridge hack

Does anyone else does this for their breast pump? I'm really struggling to get the pump parts dry in time to use again for the next time pumping so im wondering if they need to be completely dry to go in the freezer bag?

Any help appreciated! My baby was full term so I read that no sterilisation is needed if that's the case!

Can't say I ever let mine completely dry 😬 do you mean after cleaning? Never had any issues! Not saying that's the right way though.

I found the whole thing such a faff that I splashed out on a UV steriliser this time, it dries everything and then sterilises it.

Yeah after 4 weeks of pumping mine haven't dried fully once! I'm determined to do this long term after dropping £300 on a Medela pump but it really is such a faff

If I was pumping for multiple consecutive feeds then I would always rinse and refrigerate and it never caused any problems. It became necessary when I returned to work at 6 months PP and was sometimes having to pump 3x a day.

if I’m honest, I’ve done it overnight a few times too when staying away and it’s always been fine :)

If the medela one, i would dry the bit that had to be dry with kitchen towel after sterilisation, it doesn't touch the milk and you don't want water getting in the tube.
Also you can refrigerate and only sterilise a couple of times a day

Also if you are intensive pupming the best thing I did was buy extra spare parts. Then you can alternate and always have one dry and clean
