Does this look like twins?

Early ultrasound at 5w 4d and nothing was said about it but the more i look the more i think i see another sac? Ive had severe vomiting and nausea which i didnt have with my other 2 children and am on anti sickness tablets and also tested positive with a super dark line 6 days before my period was due so it does make me wonder.. tia

Was this NHS or private?

The dark area could be a haematoma, would have expected them to mention that but then again would also expect them to comment on a potential second sac!

Honestly OP I am no expert but my private 6w scan with twins was much clearer than that.

This is the original scan picture. I don't know if I am imagining seeing things but a few family members have said that they see more than 1 too

It's not the same shape as the sac at all, though.

Doesn't look at all like twins based on my previous twin pregnancy or what I saw online while researching it.

I've seen a few scans of twins/triplets etc..
It doesn't look like the dark shape you highlighted is a pregnancy sac...it would look exactly the same as the viable one...
I had a suspected twin pregnancy 30+ years ago with a bleed and she pointed out a darker shadow and said that could have been a very early implantation which has not progressed..
But I'm almost certain that the scanner would have told you if they suspected it...

No that definitely doesn’t look like a sac.
also The sonographer would have told you if there was another sac

No, it doesn’t look like more than one sac. The area you have circled isn’t as well defined or hyooechoic ( dark) as a gestation sac and doesn’t demonstrate a double decidual reaction (the white ring around the dark part) which is another ultrasonic feature of a gestation sac. As another poster pointed out, it is also outside your uterus.

I’ve just had my private scan because I had brown discharge. I have now been told the baby stopped growing. I went straight to emergency unit in the hospital. They didn’t seem worrried and booked me in for a scan for the monday. Has anyone had this. ?

whys there so many sac look like scattered every where ? Are they hemotomas

forgot to mention I am 8 weeks 6 days

I would start a completely new thread as maybe people haven't seen it as it's on the end of someone else's post..
I only saw it as I was following the original post.
And sorry I have no advice for you but hope you get answers.

I‘ve had two twin pregnancies and neither looked like that. It’s one embryo and something else. Not twins for sure.
