I'm so confused and worried with what I'm going through at the moment. I'm worried I'm having a molar pregnancy, or it's just a non viable pregnancy (bo) in general. I'll show the timeline of what's been happening below.

9 - 12 May: Period

23 May: ovulation (tracked) & sex in the days leading up and after

30 May: extremely faint BFP - unprotected sex

31 May: extremely faint BFP AND spotting

1 June: still faint BFP and spotting

2 - 3 June: tests are still light, some lighter than others (I assume chemical pregnancy & wait to bleed)

4 June: AF due but doesn't come. No more spotting. Still barely visible tests. Unprotected sex.

7 June: tests suddenly get darker after going lighter. HCG level comes back at 106.

13 June: HCG is now 1401.

23 June: dating scan at what I thought should be 6+3 going by LMP. Only a gestation sac visible measuring 5-6 weeks.

25 June: go to hospital to confirm I don't have an ectopic. Gestation sac still there & empty.

24 June: HCG is now 21089.

29 June: HCG is now 40869.

4 July: follow up scan. Gestation sac now appears to have a yolk (?) but they weren't sure & a line below it (no HB) that's measuring 5+3, I don't know if that was a fetal pole as they didn't tell me. Gestation sac is measuring 6+5.

next scan is on 13th July.

im so lost. I feel like I maybe did have a chemical to start with & then somehow conceived again on 4th June(?!?) if this is viable. But I've had only spotting, no cramping. Can you conceive after a chemical without a proper bleed? My HCG would've only been max 6-10 at the beginning as my positives were SO FAINT then got fainter for a few days before suddenly going dark. Please give me advice or share some stories x

Hi @Indiah I'm really sorry you're having to go through all of this! I can share my story with you but I should warn, it didn't have a positive outcome I'm afraid.

I became pregnant and got some v faint lines at 12dpo on an early test. It took a bit of time to darken but they did and my HCG appeared to rise fine. Was very anxious and booked an early scan at 6+2 days. All that could be seen was an empty gestational sac measuring around 5 weeks and I was offered an appointment the following week to check progress. I didn't attend this out of fear and just pretended everything was fine.
Made it to 9 weeks when I started spotting and went to the EPU and had an empty gestational sac again, now with the hint of a yolk sac. I then miscarried naturally the next day. I'd had pregnancy symptoms and everything but it appeared that the embryo had just never developed and it took until week 9 for my body to realise this - ultimately I experienced a blighted ovum.

It was awful I really empathise with all the uncertainty you're feeling right now. I really hope you have a more positive outcome to me and that it all catches up by next week! But if not, just know that it's horrid for a bit but things will get better again! I'm now pregnant again and today I saw my little embryo with its beating heart measuring 7+4.

I'm sorry my experience wasn't a positive one but I hope you get some answers soon and wish you lots of luck for your scan next week ❤️ x
