Implantation Bleeding/Positive and Negative tests

Wondering if anyone could shed some light?

I took a pregnancy test last Friday night the 6 day early one and it come up pregnant, then I took another one straight after and it said not pregnant, I kept seeing online that the 6 day early ones give you false positives? The next day I then took just a normal clear blue one and the line was so faint but then took the strip pregnancy tests and they were not pregnant.

According to flow I was 8 days late and today I started bleeding, not very heavily but it's only been a couple of hours.

Called the doctors and they said to go A&E, I'm not in any pain so I don't really want to trot all the way up there and sit there for 6 hours (at least!).

Anyone have any ideas? Should I wait another couple of days to take a test?

Can't help with the test going negative but I bled for three days like a light period when I first tested positive, I'm now 23 weeks and everything going ok. Unfortunately just a wait and see thing! Just keep testing with first morning urine and see if they get darker and progress.

Please go to A&E - not to scare you but I had something very similar and it ended up being an ectopic pregnancy and requiring immediate treatment. Hope everything works out for you but better to be safe than sorry. Sending love x

I had some pain and then it completely went away (so i didn’t bother with the hospital immediately ) and it was picked up on a scan the next day

The only sign was the pregnant / not pregnant results that I kept getting. Not saying that it’s the same for you but I do think worth checking

These are the pregnancy tests that were positive, the ones that were negative was the digital one that tells you how many weeks you are and the strips but they were definite no's?

When you say you did another straight after was it with the same urine or was it different? If different then it could just be that it was more diluted so not enough hcg to pick up on a test. Also the conception weeks tests aren’t as sensitive. 6 days early tests are more sensitive than normal tests, but clearblue are known for being totally crap. You want pink dye tests, like first response or boots own early results tests.

@PickledScrump probably about an hour after it so not straight after but same night sort of thing. Okay I'll get some of those tomorrow. Thank you! I'm bleeding only slightly and it just feels like a period just feel a bit heavy down there.

@SLB1994 usually advised to give around a 4 hour urine hold to allow hcg to build enough in your urine to show on a test, that’s likely why you were getting negative results

@SLB1994 also the strip tests, are they Poundland ones?

@PickledScrump oh okay, thank you! They are clear and simple ones I picked from boots. I'm getting period like cramps now nothing major but just uncomfortable, it's like fresh blood as well when I'm weeing, my pad isn't full but there's blood there? Sorry TMI. Everywhere I've been looking people don't have much blood at all.

They may be the same type in Poundland. I never got a positive on them even when getting dye stealers in frer. As you’re bleeding it’s worth getting it checked and make sure everything is ok. Bleeding doesn’t necessarily mean things are going to end badly but it’s definitely worth getting checked out

@PickledScrump thank you - I am going this evening. I have been bleeding this morning with little clots in it, so assuming it's either a very early miscarriage (chemical pregnancy?) or potentially ectopic but I have no pain really other than just an ache which is a period like ache, nothing major?
