Baby measuring 2 weeks ahead

Anyone have experience of baby measuring big? Had a growth scan at 36 weeks no extra fluid baby is just measuring at 38 weeks and jumped off the 90th centile over their curve. No gestational diabetes and I’m 5ft 4 and pre pregnancy 60kg so always thought I’d have small babies. I’ve to go back at 39 weeks for another scan and appointment afterwards, anyone have experience of this and what is likely to happen/ be offered after the clinic appointment? And if anyone was offered induction but declined was the birth ok? Or did anyone go into labour naturally early?

My first baby measured at least 2 weeks ahead throughout most of my pregnancy, we had extra appointments and my gestational diabetes check came back fine, but they didn’t seem to be very concerned just monitored us a bit more than usual towards the end of my pregnancy. They allowed me to go overdue, however I had to be induced once we got to two weeks overdue. I won’t say it was an amazing birth, after induction I was in labour for 3 days, and eventually had a forceps delivery.
She was 9lbs 3oz, and really didn’t want to come out!
i must say this was 12 years ago now, so perhaps protocol has changed since then, I’m not sure.

At my 28 week check with DD I was measuring 5 weeks ahead. I went for growth scans every 2 weeks and they just said I was having a big baby (first baby was over 9lbs at 10 days overdue).
They induced me on my due date in the end, DD was just shy of 10lbs so would have been over that if I had gone overdue.
I always remember the midwife saying that the hardest bit to give birth to was the head which doesn't actually vary that much between babies of all weights, the rest just squishes in as it comes out so actually doesn't make too much difference in terms of them coming out!! Both of mine were actually born quite quickly once pushing started, I think gravity played it's part!

My first was measuring 2-3 weeks ahead by bump measurements and I had extra scans that showed she was just really long and all out front, with her bum by my belly button. I was also checked for GD, and they measured the head as pp said thats the bit you dont want to be too big. Hers was fairly small and the rest came out fairly easily so its not necessarily going to make it any more difficult. I am tall though so it was sort of expected.

I had a big for dates baby - came at 40+6 weighing 10.5lb. I'm not sure when induction pressure would have started, I think it would have been advised at the 41 week check if we'd got there. Don't know what I'd have decided at the time but with the benefit of hindsight knowing it was a good birth, I'd have declined. First baby, born in water, not all big 'uns are tricky. Good luck.

Thank you everyone!
Babies head and abdomen are what’s measuring big over 90th centile, femur on the 50th.
My fear is baby getting stuck.

It got to the point my DD went from 50th percentile at 30 weeks, to measuring about 4.5 weeks ahead by 36 weeks! I did have GD though. Was told to prepare for a baby way over 9lb, she was born at 39 weeks via elective C-section (for other reasons, not measurements) weighing 8lb 6oz. She's now 10.5 months and on 50th percentile for weight and 75th for length! Her daddy is very tall though

Mine has been on the 98th since 12 weeks. I have GD but she’s uniformly big and on the 98th for everything. Last scan at 36 weeks put her at around 8lbs and measuring 6 weeks ahead. Delivery planned via c section for 37 weeks (I also have a clotting disorder which is the reason for the early delivery)
