How long after bloody show did you go into labour?

My waters broke at 7:10 this morning and during this I felt a golf ball come out!! When I checked the pad I had a huge bloody show jelly monster!! It's been 9 hours and NO contractions!

How soon after your show did baby come?

For me, I had contractions for 3 days before this appeared…then my waters went an hour later, baby 30 mins after that.

everyone is different, but it is definitely a sign that you won’t be waiting long!!

Mine started several days after the show. But obviously now your waters have gone you only have 24 hours before you’ll be induced anyway so won’t be long.

Everyone's different OP, so don't drive yourself crazy comparing yourself to total strangers.

She can choose to go longer and monitor her temperature if she wishes. The hospital can't force her to have an induction, but they will make sure she has all the right information in order to make an informed choice on what she wants to do.

I lost the mucus plug on Thursday afternoon and baby was born on Friday evening.

8.30pm plugged came away, 1.05am baby arrived.

I have 5 children and never had a show with any of them. We are all different.

Contractions most of Saturday, bloody show about 10pm that night, in MLU by 2am, baby didn't come until 9pm Sunday. That was a loooooong day!

2:30am waters went, first symptom. 3am contractions started, 8am baby arrived. 2nd baby though.

First time around it was day 3 of induction before labour began, and that went on for a good 12 hours.

I didn’t have bloody show until I was hours into labour with all of mine and it was always before my waters broke.

I gave birth 6 hours after my bloody show with my first. My waters broke before contractions with my second so I was induced the next day, never noticed the show.

With dd2 I had my show on the Monday but didn't go into labour u til the next day.

DC1 - bloody show at 11am and contractions started literally about 10 mins after. Waters didn't break (41+0)
DC2 - no bloody show at all but spontaneous labour and birth on due date

Show at 6pm, babe in arms, on hall floor, by 10pm 😆

Bloody show late afternoon (only had with one out of three), couldn't believe how much came out out!

Baby came out 5 am. Contractions started suddenly at 1.30am.

Was the third tho.

I was having contractions for 36hrs (not strong) before the show.

As soon as the plug went it was like someone clicked their fingers and the speedo went from 10-100mph 🤣

DS was born 6hrs later

About an hour, waters were like a waterfall 🫣 baby was born 22 hours later
