Breaking waters stories!

41 weeks today and I've been in hospital for 3 days now.

The pessary didn't work - so I had the gel which didn't work...
I refused the second gel because the examination was so fucking painful! I've had loads before and whatever she did yesterday has left me soo painful still.

I've told them I don't want the second gel and that they can put me down to get my waters broken.

Questions -

Did the waters itself being broken hurt or was uncomfortable?

How long after waters breaking did you have your baby?

Do you have to be on a delivery suite to have your waters broken?

How was your experience overal x

Hi,

Yes you will have to be in the delivery suite to have your waters broken.

I mean it's not absolutely painful, just really uncomfortable.

I had my hind waters broken I think about 4am as the drip just wasn't doing much, then I had my daughter at 12:52!

Sorry pressed post too soon. loved my experience, there was some tough moments don't get me wrong, but incredible.

I'm almost 35 weeks and I'm being induced soon. This time I'll be asking for epidural right away. As when I decided to get it my contractions where so intense it took over an hour and a half to administer.

I only had 2 internal stitches and felt great.

A little different but had a pessary at 6pm. At 12pm my waters popped (heard/felt them but no wetness as DS's huge noggin blocked the flood gates) and had my first contraction immediately.

Had him at 8am.

My waters broke at home, after 24 hrs no labour but I was positive for group B strep, so I'd been in hospital on the labour ward since they went I was declining the drip induction for 24 hrs but had to accept it. Had the drip for 3 hours and still nothing so midwife examined me at 1cm and said she'd pop the rest of the waters, I did find this painful but it was over quickly. Contractions came pretty much straight after, baby born 11 hours later
