Perimom perineal massager

Has anyone tried this? I would like to start perineal massage in a few weeks time and am wondering if it's any good, does it make the process easier, did you get good results.

I've seen it advertised quite a bit on social media, although it's between £40-50 which looks pretty expensive for essentially a piece of plastic!

I did it just with my hands but using the oil gave me horrendous thrush and I ended up getting a section anyway. I think it's a bit of a faff.
