Scared FTM here. I’m 36 weeks and basically my whole pregnancy I’ve been constipated, last 2 days it’s been the opposite with frequent soft bowel movements. Having a few crampy like pains in my lower abdomen, discharge has also increased. No mucus plug or waters. Just wondering if anyone experienced this then went into labour soon after, the reason I’m asking is my husband is working abroad and not due to fly home for another 10 days!

There's no telling really, my first Iost mucus plug then pretty soon water's went etc. My second I had loose stools and cramping but I was at 1cm for a good few weeks thought he was coming early but he came 9 days overdue. If you're concerned ask the midwife see what she would suggest. All the best!

36 weeks (37 by Last period) 🤷‍♀️ here too and having the same but with my second, been basically constipated or struggling too poo my whole pregnancy… today I’ve been 5 times and still feel like I have to go again, I’ve got a lingering back ache and keep getting niggly cramps.

My first pregnancy I had frequent loose poo but no pains on the Monday which carried on until the Thursday and had her on the Friday.
I only got a little cramping on Friday morning but at a routine midwife appointment she examined me and I was 6cm dilated .

It’s such a unique experience with each labour but sounds like the frequent toilet trips is a common one! Would be so sad if my husband missed the labour so hopefully baby stays cooking for a little longer.
