Calcified placenta? 36 weeks

Anyone else been told they have a calcified placenta? I'm 36 weeks today and just had a growth scan and the sonographer said my placenta looked calcified. She didn't seem overly concerned and neither did the midwife I saw afterwards. But of course I looked on Google and it seems to say 36 weeks is early :/ I'm a bit worried

I would assume they will keep a close eye on it, maybe send you for more scans.
Id pay particulate attention to any changes in movement and go in at the first sign of that being different.
You're a week away from term, so that's great in terms of them needing to intervene. nothing is likely to change in the blink of an eye. They may decide to induce you. They may just watch and wait. I'd see if you can speak to your midwife to see if it changes anything 😊.
If it helps I followed a lady on Instagram who had the exact same thing but 32 weeks. I think she made it to 37 in the end, healthy baby and healthy mum x

@Princesspeachee Thank you. They asked me if I had any more scans booked and I said no. They didn't seem bothered they just said it was fine and no cause for concern. My c-section is in just under three weeks. I'll definitely keep an eye on movement though but at the moment she's beating me up from the inside 🤣

Not long at all then, I think it will be absolutely fine 😊 fingers crossed for a safe delivery for you both xx
