Has anyone been overwhelmed by panic while trying to conceive for a child they longed for?
After a year of anguish and extreme broodiness, we have decided to try for the third - hubby was initially against but seeing me suffer he agreed he would be open to having tree and even showed some excitement.
This is when it gets confusing. As soon as I thought we might be pregnant, I started feeling overwhelming panic/couldn't sleep/ began to feel that I ruined everyone's lives if we had the third. As a result, I even decided to take the MAP and felt incredibly relieved after (even though I'm still waiting to see if it worked). Since then I've been literally torturing myself with whether we should or shouldn't - I feel that there should be three but the thought of pregnancy, maternity, lack of mobility ((we used to be very active and only now are becoming very active again) will be crippling. We can afford it but we would have to dip into our inheritance savings and the cost of childcare for the third will equal my salary for at least 3 years (no family around). I'm 40 with 2 under 4 at and will have 3 under 5 if we are successful.
Has anyone felt the same? Did you decide to override the feeling of 'cold feet' and went for it anyway? Or did you stop? Were you happy with your decision long term?
