Cat scratch to bump

Yes, I’m a worrier and I have been referred but please just some advice.

I was about to get it the shower, the can always follows me for a cuddle. The shower went off and startled him and he managed to scratch my bump, it bled a bit and a little skin came off. I got in the shower and rubbed it with the warm water. I’m worried I’m going to get an infection or this will hurt the baby in some way. He is an indoor cat, I can’t find anything online and I have nothing to clean it with in the house.

Its about the size of a penny coin but can see where he’s scrammed.

What should I do?

Keep an eye on it for signs of infection but chances are if if wasn't a particularly deep scratch and you cleaned it straight away you will be fine. I've had many cat scratches over the years, one of my cats is a grumpy old lady who hates taking her medication, and they've always healed fine on their own.

I've had approximately a billion cat scratches over the years and they are nothing.

The one time there was a serious infection it was deep - not a scratch from a cuddly cat but a scared cat who meant to hurt - and the infection was obvious within 5 minutes as hand was blown up like a balloon.

I would do nothing as if it's infected you will know very quickly!
