How do they stretch you ??

I was 1cm today and midwife stretched me to 2cm. How on earth can they do that haha! Wasn't painful but bit uncomfortable

They reach up to your cervix and usually stretch around with their finger with can separate some of the membranes from the wall of the womb and this can help babies head become lower!

I gave birth in feb.. first baby and had an epidural. Due to complications and not dilating quick enough they stretched me 8-10cm. God knows how luckily I didn’t feel a thing or care at the time!
