Hi,

Information:

  • Cycle length: 28 days
  • LH spike on CD 18
  • Agnus Castus for approx 2 weeks now - Taking for spotting
  • Levothyroxine for 1.5 months

My husband and I started trying for a baby 5 months ago. I went to a doctor prior to see what I needed to do to prepare my body and she said to get the covid booster. I was hesitant because it affected my period the first time around but we were flying to Japan and needed it to enter the country so I moved forward with it.

Since getting the booster I've spotted every month before my period sometimes 6 days before, sometimes 2, or sometimes on and off. It isn't consistent but it has happened every month.

I visited my obgyn and she perscribed me agnus castus/chastberry for the spotting. I started taking it on CD7 or CD8. I typically get a positive OPK on CD 16 or 17. However, this month it was delayed to CD18. I'm concerned because it makes my Luteal phase potentially at 9 days.

In addition to agnus castus I also started levothyroxine for my thyroid to lower. I'm not over but I was at a 4.19 which my original doctor didn't flag as an issue for trying to conceive which delayed me the first 3 months of trying. I saw on google it should sit in the 2's and another doctor confirmed it so I started medicine 1.5 months ago.

My questions are:

  1. Did anybody ovulate late with agnus castus and still get a BFP?
  2. If you take a thyroid medicine what was your experience after starting it and did you have success?
  3. Do you typically get PMS symptoms after ovulation? I have heavier boobs since 3 DPO. Is it typically a bad sign that your progesterone is off?

Thank you in advance for your comments! I just want to know if anybody has had similar experiences and had success. Trying to get pregnant hasn't been a fun process and all of my friends are getting pregnant on the 1st month so I have nobody who understands how I feel. I know 7 pregnant people right now all due in the same month haha. I know 5 months isn't that long for trying but the time really does pass slowly while waiting.

Hey, I was just wondering how you've got on with the agnus cactus? I'm in the same boat in terms of spotting and have a doctors app to talk about potential issues such as low progesterone or a short LP.
