Please tell me this is negative

I'm 4 days late, really painful boobs. Please tell me this test is negative, I think I've got line eyes. But surely for 4 days late it would be a dark line?

For 4 days late, I think that's most likely negative although I can see what you mean...

That is a clear positive, why do you think that's too light for 4 days late?

Hang on - 2 lines = positive, no? Or is this one of the ones that's supposed to show a cross for positive?

I also think it's an evap or something - I can see a vvvv faded line, but def too light for 4 days late. I'd take another test, just to make sure, though

With my second pregnancy I had a negative test when I was 3/4 days late. Period still hadn't arrived a few days later so did it again at 7 days late and was positive.

Sorry I know it's not what you want to hear but I would leave it a few days and test again

I had a very faint line around 4 days late and I'm now 9 weeks! I ovulated late and so the tests got darker later. (Had scans to verify the pregnancy)

It needs to show a cross to be positive. Get a pink dye, OP. Those blue dye ones are awful for shadow lines and things so even though there's a faint vertical line, I wouldn't take it as gospel until I'd seen it on a pink dye or a digital!

I can see a very hazy shadow but at four days past your period I’m going to say that’s a negative test.

Sorry, but it looks like my early positive on the same type of tests - perhaps you’re ovulating later than you realise, so that’s why it’s a faint line?

Hm, I can’t see a second vertical line at all. So, I’d say negative.

I'm afraid you need a different test. It is likely to be negative- that second vertical line is very faint, but I can see it. Blue dye tests do this sort of thing and I don't think are terribly reliable. Get a first response, they rarely confuse.

That’s a definitely negative. If you’re still worried get a pink dye, boots own are pretty good, for extra reassurance get an early results one as they’re more sensitive. But at 4 days late there would be a clear positive.

Looks negative to me but I suspect exactly the same photos of you'd posted wanting a positive result would have had more people saying " I can see it!".

Posters generally want to help and will take their cue from the OP which skews how they see it.

There is what looks like the tiniest of lines but I think is just shadow.

Depends what test it is! Some of these show nothing in the circle window for negative, and a vertical line for positive. Others show a cross in the circle for positive, and a vertical like for negative, what does the box say?

I can see the cross but it's very light so hard to tell, you need to retest, I'd get a clearblue digital takes out the guess work
