I'm 40 weeks and 4 days. I've gone from absolutely no signs to cramping most of last night and woke up to them today!

Like bad period pains at the front that are painful! My vagina feels sore also lool ... due a sweep today so hoping something has changed from my last sweep 5 days ago 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Pains a lot through the night and a this morning but then they've kinda gone away so it's very weird for me!

You'll probably start when you have your sweep later on . Good luck 🤞 I'm 35 weeks and I had cramps for the first time for about 12 hours the day before yesterday but thankfully it's all calmed down.

Sounds promising! Do you have a birthing ball? I spent a whole day bouncing on mine and my waters went about 2pm

Don't have a birth ball! Maybe I should just have a long walk after my sweep x

Sex also set off my second labour if you've got a willing participant 😅

Hi OP! Just wanted to say that I experienced very similar to you. Cramps/ period like pains, tightenings where my whole belly would go rock hard etc. I was in latent or early labour for about 2 weeks before going in to established labour. It’s completely normal, just not very talked about. It’s your body and your baby working together to warm up for the real deal! My baby came at 42 weeks exactly in his own time haha. Do things that make you feel good to get your oxytocin going and rest as much as you can. Good luck!
