Morning
so I’ll be 5 weeks on Friday, last night me and my partner had sex he was abit rough and after I had pink when wiped but this morning it’s like this in the photo.. I don’t have any cramps or anything. But now I’m worrying. Is this the start of a miscarriage?
What do I do ? I don’t no what to do
thank you

I had very similar bleeding to this when i was about 5 weeks, i am now 19 weeks and all okay! . Aslong as it doesnt get heavy and you have no pain you should be okay- it could just be cervical irritation brought on by sex. Give your gp a ring who can refer you to the early pregnancy unit for reassurance and a scan xxx

It’s probably just the cervix bleeding a bit. There’s extra blood flow down there during pregnancy and sex can sometimes irritate the cervix and cause spotting.

@Chip131 i rang my go they told me any kind of bleeding I have to go hospital. I’m not sure if it’s maternity unit I go to or a&e

I had the same the other day after sex at 6+2. No more blood since and no pain. People have reassured me it’s normal unless a lot of blood and bad cramps. But for that amount I would presume it’s just irritation from the sex. Unless your in pain or there’s a lot more or even if you want to put your mind at rest go to hospital but I think it’s normal .

Phone up you MADU or EPU and see what their advice is. I had a similar bleed (in similar circumstances) and they made me an appointment at the EPU but I also needed an anti-d injection because of my blood type and being 12 weeks.

You can call your local Early pregnancy unit and explain you're bleeding, hopefully they will have you in for a scan

Hugasauras · 27/06/2023 14:56

It's not uncommon after sex as it's a lot more sensitive down there and can get irritated. Just keep an eye and if it gets heavier or you have pain then contact the EPU at your hospital.

Also just in case, you mention your partner was rough and I hope that level of roughness was consensual. If you aren't comfortable with the roughness of sex then definitely tell him so.
