Ketone and Protein found in urine

Hi all, looking for a bit of advice.

I'm 20 weeks and 2 days pregnant with my first, and I had to give a urine sample today at the hospital. They said they found a ketone and one protein in it.

My midwife previously said they found a trace of glucose in my urine when I went for my 15 week appointment, however, they weren't concerned about it because it was a tiny amount. The doctors performing my test at the hospital said there wasn't any glucose in my urine this time, so could it still be diabetes? Or something else?

They said because it's been very warm lately, that could be the reason behind the protein.

Just curious if anyone has experienced anything similar, as it wasn't explained to me in terms of what any of this means.

They are sending the sample off for further testing and have informed me that if it's of concern to the specialist, they will contact me, if not, then I don't need to worry.

Thank you in advance 😊

So it could be as simple as not drinking enough water, hence why they mentioned the weather. I had both in my urine and I was admitted for iv fluids but they were off the charts level.

I had this in my pregnancy, I was just dehydrated due to vomiting and nausea, it didn't cause me any I'll effects in pregnancy and disappeared further along when I was eating and drinking more normally. I did have a GD test but was negative
