3rd baby... do they get bigger every time?

1st baby - 8lb 10oz @ 40+2 weeks

2nd baby - 8lb 13oz @ 38+2 weeks

Will my 3rd be bigger than this?

My 1st was 8lb 11oz at 41+6
2nd was 7lb 12.5 Oz at 39+5
3rd was 6lb 12oz at 39+2

2nd and 3rd pregnancies were also gestational diabetes pregnancies.

I went the other way.
1st 8lb 10 40+10
2nd 7lb 13 40+3

hoping to continue the trend for #3

Dc1 a dd was 6.13
Dc2 a ds was 9.3
Dc3 a ds was 8.7
Dc4 a ds was 7.10
Dc2, 3 and 4 born in less than 3 hours each..

7lb 9oz (42 weeks) SGA
8lb 6oz (39 weeks)
6lb 13oz (37 weeks)
7lb 10oz (39 weeks)

Very variable!

#1 7lb 1oz (40+2) girl
#2 7lb 8oz (38+5) boy
#3 6lb 12oz (38+6) girl

I have 4, mine all got bigger. Youngest was 9lb 14

1st 4lb 1oz 38wks (eclampsia)
2nd 7lb 7oz 38wks
3rd 10lb 10oz 38wks
4th 9lb 8oz 39wks

All boys. Thankfully the theme of bigger everytime wasn't right for us or baby 4 would have been toddler sized 😂

Mine did, 3&4 both very similar weights at birth though

#1 8lb at 40+3
#2 8lb 10oz at 39+6
#3 8lb 15oz at 39+6
#4 8lb 13oz at 39+6 (look at that for consistency!).

I had a 6lb 15oz girl, then an 8lb 6oz boy, then a 7lb 4oz girl.

All 40 weeks. Im a quite remarkably consistent baby builder 🤣

1st 8lb 7oz 40+2
2nd 8lb 39 +2
3rd 7lb 38

Mine got smaller. My 3rd was 5lbs less than my 1st. All born at 39 weeks, they got progressively smaller.

1. 8lb11 at 42wks (induced)
2. 8lb15 at 41+3
3. 9lb10 at 42wks (induced but 2hr labour)
4. 9lb5 however he was induced due to projected size at 40wks would likely have been 10lb + had I gone to 42wks, which based on 1-3 was likely.
5. 9lb at 41wks (induced due to age) so all bar 5 got bigger.

3rd was the easiest birth.

7lb 15 at 38w
7lb 3. at 40+3
7lb 3 at 38
8lb due date!

6lb 11 at 39+2
8lb at 40+5
8lb 6 at 39+2

All boys. Third one by far the easiest and quickest birth.

Third was my smallest at birth but grew very fast after that and became bigger baby than the other of the same sex…

So my third was the middle weight but was by FAR the quickest and easiest birth, head just popped out when my waters went after only an hour of contractions.

That might depend on gaps between births though.

My second was so much longer and heavier than my first, and a precipitous labour (1 hour vs 10 for the first), I didn't dare risk a third!

My 2nd was the biggest at 9.7. He was the first boy, next two boys were smaller both staying under 9Ib - 8.4 and 8.7 I think.

DS1 as a young adult is still the broadest and tallest of the boys. There's still time for youngest DS to outgrow him but I suspect he won't.

First - 7lb 8 oz, 49 cm, 2 days late
Second - 7lb 12 oz, 46 cm, 1 day late
Third - 7lb 4.5oz, 54 cm, 10 days early

My third was induced due to expected weight and still the biggest but also wasn't the worst labour so you win some you lose some 🤣

This was true for me and I have had all 3 of mine at exactly the same gestation (day before due date)
DD1 - 7lb.2oz
DS - 7lb.12oz
DD2 - 8lb.2oz

Expecting DC4 in November and fully bracing myself for nearly 9lbs.

DS2 40( due date) 7.5
DS3 40+1 7.4.5

My third was smaller than my second but she was born a week before her due date whereas he was 9 days late. Mine were-

DS1- 7lb13 (40+3)
DS2- 9lb0 (41+2)
DD- 7lb15 (39+1)

Funnily enough biggest one was the easiest to give birth to 😂
