Vaginal birth after EMCS?

Just found out I am pregnant with my second, very early days but already starting to think about delivery. I had a terrible experience with my first, was induced, had a failed epidural and then eventually an emergency section as they were concerned about his heart rate. I was on so much pain relief that all of it is a blur and parts of it I don't remember.

This time around I want it to be a completely difference experience. I'd like to have a VB but not sure what the chances are of this considering what went happened last time. I appreciate things don't always go to plan either.

Does anybody on here have experiences to share if they had a vaginal birth after a section?

Yes, I had a VBAC 15 months after an emergency section under a GA as the epidural went in the wrong place and gave me post Dursley headaches requiring 2 blood patches to fix.
For the VBAC they gave me the epidural earlier on and with a consultant, so it was easier for them to get it in the right place (when not too far into labour). All went well.

@LegoLady95 Thanks so much for replying! I had such a bad experience with my epidural the first time around so that's worrying me also Sad

I had a VBAC 18 months after a traumatic EMCS. With my VBAC I was in labour for 17 hours with about 1.5 hours pushing stage, had to have an episiotomy in the end as her head was 11cm diameter but we got her out. It was such a different experience from the EMCS and very healing from the previous birth trauma.

@BiscuitsandPuffin Yes I think I'm hoping for closure from my first birth. I honestly felt like I was robbed of a special experience, so I'm hoping it goes better this time around
