I've had extremely light pink/brown spotting for the past 2 days, I've just went to check and now the spotting has stopped but there was this stringy discharge (sorry TMI). Has anyone else experienced this?

I've had exactly the same thing happen today (6+3). Trying not to panic! I only had a scan on Wednesday and everything was fine then. Interested to hear anyone else's thoughts on this.

Only time I had proper stringy discharge was during my miscarriage HOWEVER it was much more than this and bright red. Brown is old blood, so it's probably nothing to worry about. Have you had any red blood at all? Again doesn't mean 100% it's bad news if you have but if you haven't even had red blood then I wouldn't worry.
Have you had cramping especially in the lower back? Again if not, I'd highly suggest not worrying unless it progresses to anything worse then I'd say call epu. Hope all works out for you x

Sending hugs! It is so nerve wracking isn't it! Do you have any cramps or bleeding?

Also, no I haven't had any cramps in my back thankfully. I have only had pink/brown no red so fingers crossed! I have had 3 chemical pregnancies so I'm trying not to worry myself! Although, my test line is darker than the control which didn't happen with my chemicals so I'm hoping for the best.

I had this at 6w with my healthy dc2. An early scan scan showed things were looking OK, no heartbeat at that point but foetal pole present. I only had brown debris for 1 evening, no red blood. I hope you are OK too. Can you call EPU tomorrow?

Hohofortherobbers · 25/06/2023 22:02

I'd been quite energetic that day, sonographer at early scan suggested I'd dislodged old menstrual blood or dislodged implantation discharge. Good luck. Xx

LavenderSweetPea · 26/06/2023 12:17

@Emi12345 got are you getting on today? I've still got the stringy stuff :(

Emi12345 · 26/06/2023 12:20

@LavenderSweetPea I haven't had any stringy stuff since, so far I've just had this small amount. I now have like a peach coloured sticky discharge when I wipe. I've just been for my HCG bloods I will Update as soon as they call me.

How are you feeling within yourself? It could just be old blood don't worry yourself! Are you going to get checked?

I've got a scan tomorrow evening. Can't come soon enough

Emi12345 · 26/06/2023 12:26

@LavenderSweetPea it's horrible waiting isn't it, don't worry yourself I'm sure everything is fine!

I found another older thread with a picture, stringy stuff was much more than your picture, and she went for a scan two days later and pregnancy was healthy with a heartbeat so let's not lose hope too soon

@LavenderSweetPea aw that's amazing news! We need to stay positive it could be so many things. Also, when I had miscarriages the heavy bleeding started an hour after the spotting. So I think that's a good sign :)

@LavenderSweetPea I had my results back they've more than doubled in 48 hours, so don't worry!!!
