UK holiday 34-36 weeks

Before I even got pregnant I booked a holiday in the Isle of Wight, which will now take place when I am 34-36 weeks (it’s a 2 week holiday).

Now I am freaking out! Do I have to cancel it? There is obviously a maternity hospital and so presumably if I did go into labour I could drive there, but it bothers me that the triage is only accessible through their app which I can’t access as I’m not a local patient.

Any advice for if I do/can go? My whole family is going and it’s all booked/paid for so not sure what to do now.

Go for it. Your baby could be late and you will have family around to get you anywhere . I let family talk me out of travelling 70 miles to my brother’s wedding at 38 weeks and baby was 10 days late !

I thought you were going to say Australia not the IOW. Of course you should go.

Just go. Bring your notes with you. If you have to go to triage then just turn up. They won't turn you away because you haven't booked using some app.

Just make sure you plan ahead with your midwife as they usually do 34 and 36 week appointments (I think)
