Worries about a loss of symptoms

Hi everyone,
This is my first pregnancy. I'm 5 weeks, 4 days pregnant, but over the last couple of days my boobs have stopped hurting and my discharge has pretty much stopped whereas before I had very painful boobs and a lot of discharge!

I'm just scared I guess. Google isn't my friend for this as it tends to share worst case scenario.

Should I be worried about a miscarriage or is this normal to lose symptoms/discharge at points in early pregnancy?

Thanks in advance 😊

I had no symptoms until 12 weeks with my first x

I think I'm just worried because I did have symptoms and now they're gone! If I'd not had any then I wouldn't be worried yet! X

Loss of symptoms can mean bad news, and google will tell you this as you know.
However, from around 7 weeks my boobs went from being super painful, to totally fine. I was Googling constantly (suffer with anxiety in pregnancy) and was so worried.
I saw my midwife at 10 weeks and told her and she said wasn’t at all concerned. She said that as long as there’s no pain or blood I shouldn’t be worried.
Im now 19 weeks with my baby girl 😊.

I suppose lots of women have no symptoms, so having fluctuations is normal also.

Ah okay thank you! I've got no pain or blood, so that makes me feel a bit better! I think I just worried about a MMC. I also suffer with anxiety which I think makes the obsessing worse!

Same! I was frantically googling missed miscarriages, and had never heard of it before. My super painful boobs disappeared over night. At the time there was no other explanation to me than I’d lost the baby. But nope - she was completely fine.
I’m now just stressing about other things instead 😂

Is the discharge something that can come and go too? I think that's the bit that worries me the most! Thank you x

@Beth98 I'm not sure if this will be helpful or not, but my missed miscarriage, my symptoms didn't change. My body still thought it was pregnant, the baby's heart had just stopped. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do to stop them and often you don't know until you have a scan. Changes in symptoms are totally normal. Remember some people don't even know they're pregnant for months because they don't feel different!

The only way I'm finding any peace is trying to accept what will be will be, and knowing I'm keeping myself as healthy as I can x

Hey Hun, for reference with my MMC my symptoms never went away. My belly grew and symptoms were actually worse for the 3 weeks my baby was dead without me knowing x

I'm currently 5wks 5days, I still have tender boobs/nipples mostly but my cramping dull aches have disappeared. I've not really had a lot of discharge but I woke today feeling fine and was worried something could be wrong. I suppose the only thing we can try and do is relax and try not to stress to much about it but just know your not along. Hopefully our bubbas are cooking away nicely x

Nelbert19 · 25/06/2023 21:55

My symptoms have disappeared today too (5 weeks tomorrow).

then again, my nausea and fatigue might have been because I had Norovirus last week and nothing to do with pregnancy at all 😅

hard not to feel anxious about it, but trying to just stay patient and wait until I’m far enough along for a scan to put my kind at ease 😖

Nonstop24 · 10/09/2023 12:18

Hello, sorry I know this thread is a couple of months old now but I was wondering if @Robo86 @Nelbert19 you wouldn’t mind telling me your outcomes? I am 5 weeks pregnant, but had a loss of symptoms a couple of days ago. I had already starting feeling constantly hungry and needing to get up in the night to wee and tender breasts (all just as my previous 2 healthy pregnancies). However now, although my pregnancy test still reads positive, all symptoms seem to have gone and I’m thinking the worst. I also know tests can read positive for a while after loss

bzarda · 10/09/2023 12:21

I was so scared of this my whole first 12 weeks of pregnancy. My symptoms, particularly nausea and discharge were on and off the whole time. Google turned me into a nervous wreck.

I'm currently sat with my 5 month old baby girl - please try not to worry and try not to search for things as 99% of the time things will turn out fine. Good luck and congrats :)

Nelbert19 · 10/09/2023 12:36

Hello I’m now 16 weeks and baby is healthy and starting to kick!

my symptoms still come and go 🤷🏻‍♀️ Today im feeling sick again, which hasn’t been the case for a few weeks.

i definitely felt my worst between weeks 8-14, but it was so different to my last pregnancy. So fatigued, but much less vomiting. Goes to show every pregnancy is different!

Robo86 · 10/09/2023 13:33

Hey I'm currently 16+2 weeks now. Finally starting to feel normal. Prob in the last week nausea has settled. Did have headache and really bad fatigue but it's all going in the right direction. I would say 8-14 weeks the worse also. First pregnancy for me so nothing to compare it with but all going well now xx

Nonstop24 · 10/09/2023 15:58

Thank you. I’m so pleased it worked out for you guys. Such a worry isn’t it! I think especially for me this time because with my last 2 pregnancies the symptoms came and stayed until probably about 12 weeks. And last week when I had them they were such obvious strong symptoms but then just went. I had some tiny brown spotting this morning but not since. So Idk.. keeping all fingers crossed! @Beth98 was yours all ok in the end? I hope so
