Nuchal translucency of 8.9mm

Hi all,
I have recently had my 13 week scan and they found fluid around the babies head and neck. They told me two different measurements of 7.4 and 8.9mm so not sure which one baby is. My PAPP-A is not low like expected (0.6795) but my blood test came back greater than 1 in 4 for down syndrome and 1 in 54 for edwards/pataus. They also told me that the baby had Reverse flow in the ductus venosus and an enlarged kidney however the only thing they are worried about is the amount of fluid around babies head/face.
I have read untold amounts of positive stories but I just need to hear some more and maybe some that have had the same amount of nuchal translucency as my baby.
I had the cvs procedure done Wednesday and now waiting for the result. I thought I'd hear by Friday but now I may have to wait till the following Wednesday which I'm stressing about.
So any positive outcome stories would be great please 😫❤️

I’m so sorry to hear this.
I can’t offer any advice as I am in a similar position, I went for a 10 week scan today as I had pain and the fluid around babies neck is 3.6mm and tummy 0.8mm.. apparently this is over the threshold and I have been referred to foetal medicine.

how did you get on as I notice this post was over a month ago?
I really hope you had a positive story ❤️

Hi,

My story is very similar, just wondering what your outcome was? Hope all is ok 💕

I have just had my scan yesterday and had a result of 8.2mm Nuchal translucency. I’m absolutely floored. Had blood tests too & they came back normal but still has put me in 1 in 11 for Down’s syndrome 1 in 54 for t13 & t18.

I’m praying for a miracle right now.

Hi my love,
Unfortunately, our outcome was not a positive one. I gave birth to a little boy at 15 weeks gestation due to down syndrome and fetal hydrops. We were told he would have a slim chance of surviving and I couldn't put my baby through that.

I'm praying you got the outcome you wanted, please let me know what the result was.

Sending my love and positivity. ❤️
