Sickness Bug at 6 weeks pregnant

Hi,

So I’m 6 weeks pregnant and recovering from a sickness bug. Was feeling off on Wednesday but thought it was just worsening pregnancy symptoms. Thursday evening was very sick, couldn’t even keep water down. Not been sick since but been very wiped since.

Is a sickness bug likely to have any impact oj the pregnancy this early?

A sickness bug isn’t likely to have an affect on pregnancy at any stage. Baby is well protected in there.

I posted almost the exact same thread at 5.5 weeks. I was really worried at the time but thankfully now almost 12 weeks and have had 3 scans showing a heartbeat etc so clearly baby was unperturbed!

You'll be fine, I had hyperemesis lost 25 lbs in 6 days at 6 weeks pregnant and was medically dehydrated and had to have a drip and Co tinued to be very sick throughout the pregnancy my DD was absolutely fine... A sickness bug really won't make any difference your body will send all resources to baby even if you end of shattered.

@xTinkerbell i had a sickness bug around 6 weeks too, aswell as horrific morning(and evening) sickness. now 28 weeks and all is good, you’ll be fine just try your best to sip fluids and rest up ❤️
