So I'm currently 38+3 and I have GD and due to have my c section in 3 days time.

I've slowly lost a little bit of my plug the past couple of days and I keep getting BH which seems to be way worse at night.

I can't lie down in anyway, it feels almost like I have trapped wind and pains in my hips and back but I don't know if it's contractions or BH.

It woke me up at 3am last night so it's almost 24 hours now and they are constant. They subsided a little bit with paracetamol.

I have my pre op tomorrow AM for my section and I'm wondering if it's something they will be likely to check for or pick up if I am in early labour or should I mention it.

I feel like I'm over reacting but I also feel like something is happening..

I'm just so tired and achey and in pain.

Has anyone been in this situation

Thanks

I was in slow labour for 3 days before I ended up having an emergency section and what your explaining is exactly what happened to me I just kept losing more and more mucus plug when I went to the toilet and the contractions got that bad there was one night I couldn't sleep because they say they come in waves and they definitely do just as I got comfy and drifting of to sleep I got another contraction and it was like that all night I was in hospital tho waiting for a bed on the delivery suit and the only pain relief they could give me was paracetamol and codeine together and that didn't even touch it they just kept topping me up then they told me to get a hot bath at the hospital that still didn't work in the end I was crying in pain and the nurse did a check just to see if I was dilating and to my shock I was 5CM dilated and then I got took straight down to delivery suit

Oh wow! Okay maybe I'll say something tomorrow.

I know it sounds crazy but part of me thinks it's in my head but I know that I shouldn't be this uncomfortable.

I always expect my waters to go and start screaming in pain but this is just like a Omg help me this is uncomfortable.

My baby keeps going transverse which is why my section was brought forward so.i definitley think I need to speak to them again tomorrow.

Noo it's definitely not in your head if your loosing some mucus plug im sure that's a sign that your body is getting ready i went for a sweap a couple of days or a week before my induced date and when the nurse went to do that I dilated 1or 2cm already and I didn't even feel a thing or know so these "BH" or pains your getting could be your cervix opening x

I thought that aswell like they do in the movies that your waters break first hahaha but nooo I was dilated to 5CM and when they took me to delivery suit they waited a little longer before they had to break my waters for me

If you need a C section because baby is in a position that makes cord prolapse etc more likely and could be dangerous if your waters go I wouldn't wait until your appointment tomorrow and ring triage now to let them know so they can decide whether to assess or admit you in case.

If it was an elective c-section and doing further into labour wouldn't likely cause harm then up to you if you want to risk waiting it out - I have known someone be in early labour for 5 days but when it kicked off baby was out in a couple hours!

With my second, I felt contractions in my thighs, was the weirdest thing. I’d be tempted to speak to someone.
