@PR96 do you think you’ll book an early scan? Are you suffering from the bloat ? Mines so bad 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

ddaisynner · 04/07/2023 08:37

@BraveHeart91 aww I get that I'm comparing to my youngest son and I was sick as a pig from very early. My eldest though I've been trying to remember but with him I was just super tired. It's hard haha

Hopefully symptons start for the two of us to put us at ease but not to much to be horrible symptons lol

pambeeslyhalpert2 · 04/07/2023 09:01

I'm feeling really sick and my boobs are killing me. My back is also in pieces. I'm doing yoga stretches to help but it's sooooo painful!

I also have the bloat. I didn't even look this pregnant at 4 months let alone weeks with my first 😂

@BraveHeart91sorry the scan felt rushed. I had a private scan with my first and it was lovely, I was about 7/8 weeks and could see a lot more so hopefully that will help.

Hope everyone's doing okay! Sorry I find it quite hard to remember everyone's handles and what people said on here as I read it in dribs and drabs.

Looking forward to when we have a fb group!❤️

I had an early private scan last week and came away quite disappointed, it felt very rushed, and I wasn't as far along as I thought. I wasn't really understanding what I was being told, and as it was a "re-assurance" scan, I didn't feel very re-assured lol. We have the date for our first NHS scan though, so will see how it goes with that!

I defo have nausea, cramping and really tired all the time but the nausea has eased off today!

I’m so tempted to book an early scan because I’m confusing myself trying to work out how far along I should be! My last period started june 8th but it was only about 4 days and only two days were heavy then my one before that was on May 10th and seemed more regular at 6/7 days long, my cycle is usually 27-32 days long so I did a clear blue date test yesterday which said 2-3 weeks so that’s 4-5 so I’m guessing it’ll be four this week and I’m just worrying over nothing!

PR96 · 04/07/2023 11:15

@BraveHeart91 I'm so undecided on an early scan.. I want to see baby and see that everything's okay, but also terrified something won't be okay, or it'll be too early for a heartbeat and I'd be worrying about it. But equally I'm only 4+5 today so have sooo long to go till the dating scan and not sure I can do that wait, it was awful waiting for that scan before!

MercuryTTC · 04/07/2023 11:21

Just peed on a stick...

Freaking out a bit. Only symptom is a full cramp on my left side. Is that normal?

Is anyone due March 2024!?
Kay00 · 04/07/2023 11:44

@BraveHeart91 I had a flash of red blood on 14dpo, which I assumed was the start of my period at the time, looking back it could have been implantation?

Then another flash of red blood on Saturday 1st Jul, which would have been 20dpo or 4wk+6. And spotting since then. It's very light spotting, with a tiny clot yesterday.

But I need to sit pretty until next Monday when I'll be 6wk+1.

I am a bit of a bleeder usually though 😅 I often bleed/spot for a week or so before my period, so it could be normal for me... But that's not at all reassuring 💀

I'm also worried my progesterone is low because other than a bad back (which might not be pregnancy related) I have zero symptoms.

Damn... I would kill for a tender boob or a bit of morning sickness right now 😂

elarcoiris · 04/07/2023 11:50

@Kay00 If you have a tendency to spot before your period, that could be a sign of low progesterone generally. NICE guidelines state that if you’ve had bleeding in a pregnancy that is visible/in the right place on a scan, you can get progesterone prescribed until at least 12 weeks so worth pushing for that when you have your scan if you’re concerned!

(I have had various issues with low progesterone and have been prescribed Cyclogest from 3dpo until 16 weeks so have done quite a lot of research on this!)

Kay00 · 04/07/2023 11:54

@elarcoiris thank you! I actually have multiple weeks worth of cyclogest here at home, as I was about to start a round of IVF, but I called the fertility clinic and they told me not to take it 😕. I have to admit, I'm tempted to take it anyway...

If I'm still pregnant and spotting by Monday next week I'll be calling GP first thing to get them to book a scan for me next week.

elarcoiris · 04/07/2023 12:10

@Kay00 Ah, that’s odd - I would’ve thought they would’ve been ok with you taking it! Keeping fingers crossed for you that all is ok and you can get a scan soon to get a sense of what’s going on xx

LeopardLover · 04/07/2023 12:18

@Hopefulhoney6 Hope you're okay! It definitely makes sense to take time out. Hopefully see you again I the near future. Sending lots of love!

LeopardLover · 04/07/2023 12:25

@MercuryTTC Congratulations!! How far are you? 😊 I've had quite a lot of cramping too, including some left side cramping. As long as it isn't too painful I don't think it's a problem! Severe pain could be an indicator of something else x

LeopardLover · 04/07/2023 12:29

@ddaisynner @BraveHeart91 Is it a boy thing? 🤣 I had no symptoms with my son either. But I would love a little but of nausea!

I vote waiting for 8 weeks at least if you do have any early one?

Is anyone considering getting the Harmony test? I'm 37 so I think I'm going to. I just want all the information!

Prudence00 · 04/07/2023 12:58

@BraveHeart91 its normal for some women to spot after sex, it’s due to increased blood flow to the cervix. I understand why it makes you worry though!

Kay00 · 04/07/2023 13:12

@BraveHeart91 @LeopardLover I'm tempted to get an early scan too, although it sounds as though the NHS might be providing it next week 😵‍💫

It's mine and my OHs birthday next week, we have the week booked off work, and if it's a viable pregnancy then I'd like to take trip to see and tell my mum. She thinks I'm stimming for my IVF cycle with the egg collection scheduled for 12th July... So she'll wonder what's up if I'm not doing that next week 🙈

Has anyone else told their close family yet?

LeopardLover · 04/07/2023 13:16

@Kay00 Hopefully your spotting eases but you still get an early scan in so you can tell your mum! 💜 The best birthday gift 😍

I didn't tell anyone until 13 weeks last time, it's easy to hide when you don't get sickness - it was also covid! I think I'll tell my mum at 8 weeks 😊 I'm only 4 weeks so still early days for me! Although, annoyingly my MIL has a pregnancy radar (she had a lot of kids and has lots of grand babies). Next time I see her she'll know 😫

Thank you! This is reassuring, definitely not severe.

Ahh this is so scary. It's my first pregnancy, am 31 and still feel like a baby myself.

That's great news! 😁 Don't worry, you have plenty of time to get used to it (pregnancy feels LONG by the end) 🥰 I had my son at 35 and I felt like a baby too hahhaha xxx

BraveHeart91 · 04/07/2023 13:33

@LeopardLover Omg I would love to have a boy I was convinced my youngest was a boy even when she came out they said it’s a girl I said no it’s a boy 😂😂.

Has anyone else’s symptoms calmed down a bit? I’m 5+2 now and my nausea is not as bad, no longer got any cramps and not as tired.

HKS90 · 04/07/2023 16:21

Yeah same! I’m 5+4 and things have really calmed down today, trying not to overthink it and get paranoid. Logically I know it’s completely normal so I just keep telling myself to remember that and enjoy not wretching anytime my other half eats a yoghurt lol

I just said this this morning and wasn’t sure if it was normal or not!!
