Thrush - can I use the Canesten applicator?

I 'm 10 weeks pregnant and have been prescribed canesten in 6 small doses for thrush. My doctor never said don't use the applicator so I used it as normal. Now everything I'm reading says don't use it and I'm freaking out that I might have damaged my baby somehow!! I can't find any explanation as to why it's bad to use it. I have sex regularly which is surely more pressure? Does anyone have any info please? Thanks so much xx

I used the applicator at a similar time and pushed it up as high as I could (which I thought was a good thing to do!). Only then read afterwards you shouldn’t use the applicator.

now 28 weeks and all fine :)

I think if it was a serious risk it would be the first thing doctors/midwives mentioned when prescribing them
