Hey everyone. Has a midwife appointment today. Baby boy in perfect position, good growth and heartbeat healthy. She did make a point of saying babies head was very low. First time mum. Does this mean baby may come early?

I had this (19 years ago now), midwife told me not to go on UK holiday because I could go into labour. I worked to 38 weeks, moved house 39 weeks and had a normal, spontaneous delivery at 40 weeks. I spent weeks worrying he was coming to early. Met a few other mums who'd had similar stories.

@Haroldedwardpercy thanks lovely. I’ve been the same, panicking about going anywhere now in case something happens but it seems they can stay in that position for weeks now like you say so let’s hope so :)

mine has been super low for 3 weeks but no closer to any signs of him coming yet..

Same thing happened to me about 32 weeks. DS stayed there very low until 42 weeks. It was impossible to do anything 🤣

@Leo227 ooooh keep me updated 💙 how far along are you?

@DeflatedAgain that’s exactly how I feel! I need the loo every 5 mins or get some cramping low if I’m walking somewhere. Scared to move haha!

DD was 3/5 engaged from 24 weeks and dropped lower by 28 weeks. Midwife made a point of saying even though she was really low it didn’t mean she was going to come early. In the end we were induced for unrelated reasons and she begrudgingly arrived at 38+6 after a 4 day induction, so aside from needing to pee more and having pelvic pain I don’t think it really means much.

I ended up crawling on all fours to get up the stairs by the end of it. I was induced at 42 weeks and after 34 hours he decided to come out. Must have been very comfy for him - not for me 🙄🤣

Congratulations - not long left to meet DS!
