is it worth falling out over? you will both know soon enough!

pedilia · 22/02/2008 19:38

can't you be told but not tell DH

hecate · 22/02/2008 19:38

you want to know but he doesn't? Simple. You find out at the scan but don't tell him. (If he's there with you, get them to write it down for you!) Why should he find out if he wants the surprise, but equally, why should you be made to wait if you don't want to?

hecate · 22/02/2008 19:39

echoing pedilia there, sorry.

MrsTittleMouse · 22/02/2008 19:45

Agree, if you want to know then found out. He doesn't have to know. Not worth falling out over, but I secretly think that you should have casting vote, being the one to carry the baby and all.

ratbunny · 22/02/2008 19:46

wouldnt it be hard to keep it a secret?
I mean, looking at the blue sleepsuits might give it away..

dooneygirl · 22/02/2008 19:48

I had the same thing happen. I arranged earlier with the people doing the scanning to not say anything during the visit, and I would call them later and they would tell me what it was. The joke was on me, because DD had her legs closed so tightly for the entire scan, they didn't know what she was.

Thaks for the responses. I think ratbunny has a good point. What if I accidently slip up sayiong "he" or "she" if I was the only one to find out....also I would want to buy blue things if i knew we were having a boy, as we already have a girl.
Will keep on reading through your thoguhts and take them in for serious consideration.

We gave both of ours nicknames when we found out we were pregnant. I was just planning to use the nickname.

Def taken on board what you have all said and I have been working on DH giving him the selling speech all day of why I would like to find out.

Anyway, DH seems to be coming round to the idea and I havn't had to bribe him either!

I know I wouldn't be able to keep it a secret if only I found out...I would slip up somewhere. Really found it hard not knowing sex of DD and DH was constantly going mad as I would try all the old wives tales to find out.

Thanks for all your replies.
