1/5 engaged. What does this mean?

Had a sweep done today. She said I'm 1cm and something about my cervix is 3cm long! What does 1/5th engaged mean?

It means your baby’s head is engaged. So it’s deep in your pelvis where it needs to be. I’m assuming this is your first? If so it’s very unlikely to come back out. Sounds like things are moving in the right direction and your baby will be here soon

This is my third baby! Im 1/5 engaged and 1cm which is a odd combo ha!

Means head is as engaged as it can be.

@highheavenn its actually quite common. My second her head came in and out and didn’t stay engaged until active labour.
