Chicken pox

My DD has come down with chicken pox and i’m currently 16 weeks pregnant. I’ve been told it’s nothing for me to worry about as I’ve had chicken pox myself as a child and will therefore have some immunity.
Ive been recommended to use Poxclin on my DD but I cant seem to find an answer as to whether it’s safe for me (being pregnant) to apply it on her? Does anyone know by any chance?
Thank you X

Hi OP both my older DC had chickenpox when I was around 16 weeks pregnant and I applied this to them with no issues at all. Hope little one is OK and not suffering to bad x

Yea it’s perfectly safe for you to apply it, as you’ve already been told you don’t need to worry as you’ve already had it

@PickledScrump sorry if I wasn’t clear. My concern isn’t touching the chicken pox as I know I’ve had it. It was more to do with applying and touching the Poxclin foam as I can’t find any info to state it’s safe to use when pregnant

As far as I am aware it's fine. My SIL used gloves when applying when she was pregnant for her own piece of mind x

@Cooley yes it’s fine. There’s no harsh chemicals or ingredients in it and no known side effects. If you’re really worried then you can use gloves, but you’d be washing hands after applying it anyway
