Moving house/ hospital distance

Just wanting a bit of advice if possible!

I’m 8 weeks pregnant and my OH and I were planning to move house before I give birth - so we need to get going soon obviously if we’re going. I really don’t like our current house or the local area. However, the local hospital is really good.

We’d probably only be moving 30-40 minutes away. There is a hospital closer to the area we’re thinking of moving to but it’s midwife only and I’ll need an c-section. So I’d probably just be coming back to the hospital where I currently live.

As it’ll be a c-section I would hope that I wouldn’t be rushing to the hospital, but I obviously don’t know that for sure. I know plenty of people go into labour before their planned c-section appointment!

Do people think it’s better to just wait until the baby is born to move? (Not immediately after the birth obviously but at some point afterwards.) I’d never forgive myself if something happened because I couldn’t get to the hospital on time. Thanks everyone.

@PuttingDownRoots Probably about 30-40 mins!

We're in between 2 hospitals and both are about that far. It was absolutely fine Wink

When I had DD1 the hospital was 90mins away, and 45 mins for DD2. 30-40mins is still quite close.
