18 days late

Hi, so this is a long one but I’m just wondering if anyone can help me out and has been through anything similar?

Basically I’m 18 days late for my period, I had some light pink spotting and mild cramping on the 6th and 7th around the time my period was due and haven’t had any bleeding since. I’ve had backache and cramps for the past 2 days but still no period, they don’t feel like period cramps either. My period has never been this late either.

I’ve done pregnancy tests and they’re negative, I have also had my bloods taken but still waiting for them to come back unfortunately.

I’m just wondering if I need to wait till my next period is due to get a positive if I am pregnant or whether it should be showing now if I am? I’m very confused, if anyone has had something similar happen please let me know :) xx

I would expect pregnancy tests to show positive by now.

I was in the same situation a few months ago, I had all the signs, I had no period and negative tests but I was just late in the end. I got AF on day 19.

I had this situation first month off birth control. Tested positive on day 38 of my cycle and scans matched up (as in a was 1 week later than missed period) but not 18 days late only 13/14 days as far as I remember

Oh did you? I haven’t been on birth control, I’m now on day 50 of my cycle and 18 days late for my period. Other than the spotting and mild cramps I’ve had no other bleeding 😔

I was due to come on 9/6 I had spotting on 9th so presumed it was period starting as I usually spot a few days first. However I had the same as you, strange cramps but no period. I tested on the 12/6 and there was the faintest positive. Tested everyday last week and all been positive so I am now 5+3.

I would guess with everyone else that surely you would have tested positive by now, have you been using different brands of tests ?

Congratulations! 😊 I did have some really faint lines on 2 clearblue tests and one first response but because I done two cheap Asda ones last night and this morning which were negative I just assumed the others were negative too
