I'm 4+2 and I have a skin infection - expecting I'll probably be prescribed antibiotics. Obviously I will do whatever doctor thinks best, but looking for reassurance if anyone has been in a similar position and all was OK. Haven't needed antibiotics for about six years so it feels so unlucky for this to happen now of all times!

Antibiotics are pretty common in pregnancy because of the higher risk of things like UTIs so as long as your dr knows you’re pregnant there should be no issue!

Yes as PP said, as long as you tell the Dr you are pregnant then they will prescribe pregnancy safe ones. There are many reasons women require antibiotics in pregnancy.

Thanks so much for the reassurance. I've been prescribed an antibiotic cream for now but feel reassured if I need to take the tablets if it doesn't clear up.
