Hello,

I am 8+1 and laying awake with really bad pain where my wisdom tooth / lower rear gum is. It kind of came out the blue but I am really struggling.

Has anybody else had this while pregnant? Any solutions?

Thank you.

Put salt in warm water and swish it about on your sore tooth. Do you have Paracetamol and a hot water bottle?

Toothache is horrible. Hope it gets better for you soon.

Not the wisdom but when I was 9 weeks I had bad toothache when my root canal/crown was. It was sensitive and hurt when using the tooth to eat anything. Went to the dentist at 11 weeks and he said there was a bit of swelling on my gum between/around the teeth. I waited a week and it disappeared (so about 2-3weeks in total). I bought mouthwash but only used it twice due to it drying my mouth out. That was last November and after that week I haven’t had the pain return. So it could have been pregnancy hormones shift.

@Blue2020 ah that is interesting, thank you. Looking online it does say swollen gums are quite common in pregnancy so most likely what it is. I shall go and see the dentist today just in case.

@Diorinthecountry thank you for your advice :)
