currently being kept in on delivery ward after my water had ruptured at 19 weeks pregnant not sure why but tested positive for step b - so far baby is ok and heart beat has been heard.
started on antibiotics and having to wait for scan on Thursday to see what’s going on and hope I don’t go in to labour. It all feels a little bit hopeless at the moment what are the odd of having a positive outcome

There was a thread on here before about something similar and there is definitely hope for a positive outcome because they managed to keep her going a bit longer. Fingers crossed for you, must be such a worry x

What a worrying time, I hope you are as OK as you can be. There is absolutely still hope, but I think you need to prepare yourself. Thinking of you, please keep us updated and take care of yourself xxx

Hope that you and the baby are ok OP. Didn't want to read and run x

Similar happened to my sister with her third child. Basically she had to stay in hospital and stay in bed with catheter because once water gone cord could get tangled more easily if you walk around a lot. She was 20+2 and they gave her a drug to help her. Not sure what it was but I think it stopped contractions. She had baby at 22+6 and had to stay in hospital all that time. Baby was fine and now 14.

It depends what was the reason for it, if it's your cervix, then there is always hope.

My waters broke at 25w. I stayed in hospital for a few weeks and had antibiotics and steroids, and then v close monitoring when I went home. Baby managed to stay in until 35w and now I have a healthy 6 month old! There is always hope. Have a look at the charity little heartbeats they have a lot of information and support for PPROM.
