IVF Pregnancy Measuring Small at 6 Weeks Scan

Season 3 Smiling GIF by The Simpsons

Hello everyone ??
I’ve never used a forum before so please bear with me.
So this is our second round of IVF (the first unfortunately ended in a miscarriage of our baby girl at 15 weeks). We had 3 good looking blastocysts at day 5, 2 now frozen and one transferred fresh. Pregnancy HCG all normal everything looking goor until yesterday at our 6 Weeks scan, the yolk sack was visible but the foetal rod was smaller than what it should be for it’s gestational age (we are pretty certain of dates due to the IVF process). I should have been 6 weeks 4 days however foetus is measuring 5 weeks 5 days and currently (as expected being so small) no heartbeat yet.
I have another scan booked in for Monday (just happens to be my birthday), to hopefully show us that it has grown and got a heartbeat. Hospital don’t seem very positive. I have been written off until then.
Has anyone been through this? Or got an advice? Been scouring the internet for chances of success or failure of a viable pregnancy to try and mentally prepare myself. Also looking for potential scientific reasons why this would happen? Could this happen with a late implantation of IVF? Could it catch up? Or is something chromosonally wrong?

Any help would be wonderful!
Thanks in advance ❤️

What was the outcome ? My daughter had a 6 week scan. IVF so dates certain. Small gestational sac and yolk. No fetal pole. Has to go back next week to see if pregnancy viable. The wait is torture. X

IVF PREGNANCY - NO HB
Morning everyone. Just looking for some reassurance. I went for my early scan at 6w2d and the nurse saw the sac and fetal pole and stated everything looked perfect and there are no signs of anything being wrong. She couldn’t however find a heartbeat but said this can be normal given how early it is so I have another scan next week.

Anyone has a similar situation and gone on to have a healthy and successful pregnancy please?

Was different with my daughter as no fetal pole but 3 days later she went for a private scan at ultrasound and they saw a flicker so he was there just was too soon the scan a few days before. She is 17 weeks now and having a little boy. The waiting is torturous so I’d go get a private scan as a few days can make a difference. I’m sure loads don’t see the HB at 6 weeks. I have everything crossed for you.

@JTF03 i think general advice is wait at least until 6 weeks + 4 to confirm viability re: hb
good luck for re-scan. Horrible wait I know
