Anyone 40 + on here (one scared mum)

Not sure if there are any existing threads but I have found myself pregnant almost 7 weeks with third baby. Youngest 6. I am shocked and scared, contemplating like as a very old mum (50 with a 6 year old) , my partner is 9 years younger though although pretty useless around the home, with kids etc.
I am scared at added risks with my age not really energy as I am very fit with a lot of energy and still don’t sleep great at my 6 year old is in my bed most nights.
would really like to talk to other pregnant mums around my age. How have you found the pregnancy, how are you finding motherhood now?

I had my youngest dd at 40. Pregnancy was a breeze until the very end when I was diagnosed with GD and had low iron levels. Both easily sorted though. She's 7 months now and such an easy baby! Not sure whether that's because I'm more laidback now?? I had my eldest at 19.

I've just recently turned 50 and have a ten and a six year old. Life is great! Congratulations x

I had a baby at 49 (surprise) had gestational diabetes, runs in family, but baby was fine, natural birth, and now 5 and gives us alot of joy! Just had to get through it but worth it in the end.

Complete story read this thread and to hear all your stories! I am 43 with a 20 month old and have just found out I’m pregnant. I’m a little anxious but so excited!

40 here, 12 week scan tomorrow, although had a scan at 9 weeks and all was fine.
Youngest is also 6 and eldest 8.
It's taken some getting used to but seeing how much dh wants this is making it easier, I'm really struggling with fatigue at the moment and younger dc is quite a challenge at times.
I think you just make it work, well you've got to.

I hope your scan went well and offered you reassurance! When do you think the fatigue will break? I’m so so tired!!
