I'm 26 weeks pregnant and really considering taking 2 weeks annual leave at 33 weeks and then taking my maternity leave at 35. I work in the community driving from house to house and I'm starting to struggle. Healthcare workers, when did you go on maternity leave?

I’m a community nurse and have taken maternity leave at 34 weeks, 4 weeks AL then mat leave starting at 38 weeks. Like you say getting in out of car all day isn’t easy and I just felt I couldn’t work any further along without pushing my body too far.

Hi @Tryandtryagain02

Im a health care worker and I finished work at the end of 34 weeks (4 weeks AL and then started maternity). Best decision I made, as the work was physically very heavy. Good luck with everything! ☺️
