Hi

I am ttc and also work in a healthcare setting.
Somebody told me that pregnant women should not be exposed to cases of C DIFF and MRSA.

Does anybody have any knowledge on this.

dunno about C Diff, but wouldn't have thought the MRSA would be an issue - don't think that PG women have dramatically increased vulnerability to MRSA in the way that someone who was immunosuppressed/had open wounds etc is.

you should speak to your occupational health department - they should have protocals for pregnant women telling them what they can do and what they can't.

Neither bugs should cause you any harm if you are in good health anyway.

i thought about 1/4 of the general population had MRSA but as they are not otherwise ill it doesnt cause them a problem ?

We're TTC too and i'm a carer i've neverheard to it being a problem.
