Remedies for heartburn during pregnancy?

Hi All,

Has anyone got any remedies that helped them with heartburn and reflex during pregnancy? Currently struggling with this! TIA x

Bicarb.

A teaspoon dissolved in a small amount of water then chugged down as quickly as possible, befit tastes vile. Very effective.

Drinking lots of milk helped me. Also, doctor prescribed safe medication for it.

Pretty sure gaviscon is ok?

I've read mixed things about Gaviscon. Will call the midwife/GP tomorrow and double check x

Gaviscon and Rennies were great until about 30 weeks then I got prescribed Omeprazole towards the end and it was a life changer!

I had Gaviscon on prescription during pregnancy, it was a life-saver, I was literally swigging it out of the bottle in the night!

Was it just your bog standard Gaviscon or was it the advance one? X

I might look into asking about Omeperazole as I actually hate Gaviscon. It makes me gag on a good day let alone during pregnancy! X

25weeks pregnant and heartburn is horrendous 🫠🫠🫠
I take gaviscon and since I started regular omeprazole iam slightly better 😌
