Spotting.... again! 😥

This is my third pregnancy.

  1. Miscarriage at 11 + 6
  2. MMC at 7 week scan (suspected blighted ovum)
This pregnancy has been very different . Implantation spotting 8dpo with brown discharge 9dpo. Tests progressed really well.

hcg has been below :
69 Wednesday (13dpo / 3 + 6 weeks)
214 Friday (15dpo / 4 + 1 weeks)
1510 Tuesday (19dpo / 4 + 5 weeks)

At 4 weeks I spotted for an hour (light pink when wiping) then nothing.
Had pretty much the same again today at 5 + 4.

I have not really had cramping just a weird feeling in my stomach. Could be classed as light cramp I suppose!

Anyone have any positive stories of this?

@BagelO For my son I had pretty much the same beta as you for 19 dpo. I had some light spotting and was really panicking. I got a private scan and they saw a little haematoma in my uterus and said I'd likely get some more spotting - I did. I was so on edge after a previous miscarriage, but it was okay.

Hopeful it's all fine for you also. You're almost six weeks so can get a transvaginal private scan if you feel that would help you

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 thanks for sharing!
did they need to do anything for the haematoma?

I have one booked in less than two weeks trying to be patient to avoid disappointment but this is making me stressed!

I have read it can be completely normal for lots of reasons so trying to take comfort in that .

@BagelO absolutely nothing, they just told me that it would pass. I think it was only a cm or two in size on the scan.

Friends had bleeding or spotting through the whole of their first trimesters. It is so horrible to see blood. I'm so glad you have a scan booked in. I'm waiting for mine too, I'm about as far along as you are, and will book one in for a coup of weeks time

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 thats so good to hear that it was no issue! It doesn't seem to last long at all which is good (the two times!)
eeek wishing us both so much luck!

I think after the first trimester it surely gets exciting 😂

I had spotting at 14 weeks and when they did a scan I had what they called a "very large hematoma" - about the size of a coke can I think they said. Terrifying at the time but they said there was nothing to be done and I now have a happy and healthy 4yo downstairs as I type. All this to say that sometimes spotting can happen and it can all end up okay. Wishing you all the best, OP Flowers

@octoberfarm thank you for sharing!
both times for me have been a very very small amount which gives me some comfort atleast. It's just automatic panic mode when I see blood.
So happy your outcome was all Ok 😊
