I'm worried about the second, is it true it's easier quicker etc?

Not always. Everyone is different so impossible to answer. Why are you worried?

As a trend yes, it is quicker than the first. But there are many factors to take into account such as whether the labour is spontaneous or induced, whether there are any complications that occur.

Anecdotally, myself and friends colleagues that had vaginal deliveries (including forceps) with first baby, all had quick straightforward second births with minimal intervention or tearing.

Are there any reasons specifically you are worried? I was very worried too for my second as I was so much more aware of what could go wrong, but it was fine. Hypnobirthing really helped me stay grounded, and reminded me that the pain I'm feeling is a natural process of baby moving down.
