Obstetrician Kensington Wing C-Section

Hi There!

Can anyone recommend an obstetrician at the Kensington Wing at Chelsea & West? There are so many it’s hard to know who to book an initial consultation with!

Bit of back story, c-section June 2022, I had problems with internal scar tissue forming post c-section and it is still very painful. I also have a relatively significant diastasis recti.

I have seen a gynaecologist which did my laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis in 2020 and he said the only way to fix the scar tissue would be to surgically remove it. Which I could do as a stand alone operation or during another c-section.

I am looking for a consultant who is very proficient in c-sections that is also compassionate and caring. I understand that this time round I would need something called tension release stitching to ensure the continuous stitch doesn’t pull so tight which is what created the internal scar tissue in the first place.

I would also want them to take extra care with my muscles considering the diastasis and looking for someone who would be comfortable explaining the way they stitch up each layer they cut through to give the best possible outcome and recovery.

There is a chance Bupa will agree to cover the scar revision part due to ongoing pain so ideally someone who is Bupa registered as well.

I am very anxious this time found and want to make sure it goes well as possible.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! 🙏
